27 weeks...

i didnt even realize i missed last week!!!! we were in the mtns for thanksgiving :)

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far along? 27 weeks 1 day

Size of the Baby? head of cauliflower, haha

Maternity Clothes? yes

Gender? girl!

Movement? moving a lot more, lately!! love it :)

Sleep? Still about the same. Wake up twice to go to the bathroom. Toss and turn a little more than normal.

Cravings? dove chocolates! had to have them the other day! orange juice!!

Symptoms? still some back pain. a little bit of tenderness on my belly sometimes. i asked the doctor about it today and she said thats probably from where the baby kicks me at night and it's forming a small bruise, or where she's been huddled up in one "corner" for too long and it gets a little sore. also, starting to see little signs of heartburn here and there. maybe she's getting some hair!! :)

What I miss? just being able to get comfortable. that's starting to get more and more difficult.

Milestones? WE'RE IN THE THIRD (and final) TRIMESTER!! I had my glucose test today!! and i didn't pass out!! Hallelujah! Baby girl is measuring on target and i go back in 3 weeks.. then start every two weeks! Cra-ZAY! I can't wait for her to get here :)

Weight Gain? gulp....14 lbs!!! eeeee

What I’m nervous about? L & D

What I’m excited about? mom and some friends are coming over tonight to work on some arts and crafts projects for the nursery! next wednesday we are going back to the 4d ultrasound place to see what/who she looks like! I cant wait to see her again :) some of you may have seen the post i did about the rug yesterday... then i deleted it. because mom and matt hated the rug. it was a little over powering but i was willing to see what it was going to look like once window treatments, etc. were in their place. we've decided to take the rug back and we're getting new carpet installed in the whole room which we're actually more comfortable with anyway bc lord knows how long that carpets been in there and baby girl needs to breath in nothing but healthy air! :)

Baby Center Update for Week 27: This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle

Belly Saturday

25 weeks, 4 days

Excuse my look... we'd been working in the nursery for 5 hours at this point. Did I say "we?" I meant Matt, Mom, and Trav. I just kind of helped put the bedding in and sat in the new rocker. Thanks so much, family!!! :)

Will post nursery pics tomorrow!

25 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far along? 25 weeks 2 days

Size of the Baby? eggplant

Maternity Clothes? yes

Gender? pink

Movement? she is still moving occasionally but not all the time. i love it when she starts moving.

Sleep? same. getting gradually more uncomfortable as my belly is getting heavier and it takes a lot more effort to roll over and change positions in the middle of the night, which ends up waking me all the way up and takes me longer to get back to sleep. no complaints though, because im not having to be anywhere super early in the morning.

Cravings? jello pudding, biscuits (still), orange juice is always amazing, as soon as the thought of it pops in my head, i NEED it IMMEDIATELY. (like now, i will go get some when im done blogging)

Symptoms? my back still hurts. the chiropractor felt great..and byrd and hannah gave me a gift card for a prenatal massage, im going to schedule next week, cant wait!! also, i am MISERABLE after i eat. and halfway into a meal i feel like I cant breathe. I try to sit up really tall to make more room, but it's tough :)

What I miss? Nothing

Milestones? not really a pregnancy milestone, but my college friends through a little brunch shower for me on Sunday at Soby's at it was so great!!! Wonderful to catch up with everyone and Mary Tyler got a bunch of precious little things. Cant wait for my two big showers in January!

Weight Gain? 11 lbs.

What I’m nervous about?

What I’m excited about? Her bedding and chair cushion has been being made this week and we can pick it up on Friday!! So excited :) Thanksgiving next week!!! My prenatal massage. going in two weeks for another 3D ultrasound to see who she looks like! :) Christmas music. Meeting her!!!

Baby Center Update for Week 25: Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

24 weeks :)

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far along? 24 weeks 2 days

Size of the Baby? an ear of corn/an eggplant

Maternity Clothes? yes

Gender? pink

Movement? every time i after i eat she has a little fiesta in my belly. i can still feel her MUCH better if im laying down, I dont fell her standing up that much. she's still the most active at night!

Sleep? woof. about the same. i got a Snoogle pillow and it's great but a little too bulky for me to get used to sleeping with it all night. I toss and turn too much during the night to maneuver around it. but i love it for lounging!

Cravings? ice cream. still southern food: biscuits and gravy, mac n cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes, etc.

Symptoms? this has been the week of the backache. last saturday it was hurting so much i was about to cry at dinner, so we stopped on the way home and got a heating pad from walgreens. sweet relief!! but it's only temporary. going to the chiropractor tomorrow and very excited about it!

What I miss? Nothing

Milestones? no biggies

Weight Gain? holding steady at 10 lbs

What I’m nervous about? her teenage years

What I’m excited about? how quickly time is going by now days! seems like just the other day i was saying HALFWAY THERE .. and that was a month ago!! wohoo! we are so ready to meet our little girl!

Baby Center Update for Week 24: Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

Belly Saturday and a video update

Sorry!! I haven't done Belly Saturday in 2 weeks. Cheerleading has been crazy! Here I am at 23 weeks 4 days... please excuse my "look" i had been laying on the couch watching football for 2 hours and itching my eyes because of allergies.

And last friday night (at 22 weeks 3 days) I took a couple of videos of Mary Tyler moving around a little bit :)

23 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far along? 23 weeks 2 days

Size of the Baby? a papaya still

Maternity Clothes? yep

Gender? sugar and spice and everything nice

Movement? She is still the most active around 2 am. She has a little late night dance party just about every night. I also feel her right after I eat.

Sleep? it's alright.

Cravings? Biscuits and Gravy - i was craving SO bad!!! I finally made some last night, so good!

Symptoms? feeling great, getting tired much easier.

What I miss? Nothing

Milestones? We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and she was giving us quite a show. In fact, she was so active that we couldn't get a good still shot of her right foot (we were trying to check on her toes again) We are still fairly sure that she has six toes on her right foot but have decided not to check again. We're going to wait and be surprised when she's born :) She was being SO cute! Grabbing her feet and rocking back and forth, Matt was so proud and calling her a genius already.

Weight Gain? we're at 10 lbs people!!!!!! omgggg

What I’m nervous about? nothing. feeling pretty confident today :)

What I’m excited about? The nursery is coming along pretty nicely! We bought all the fabric and are taking it to the seamstress monday to have the crib bedding, mobile, and glider pad made and Cindy (my mother in law is going to make the curtains) !

Baby Center Update for Week 23:
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.
