Halfway There!! 20 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far along? 20 weeks 3 days

Size of the Baby? a small cantaloupe, whoa!

Maternity Clothes? yes.. thank goodness the fall weather is here (for the most part)

Gender? Pink

Movement? Still not what I've been hoping for :( I go back and read all my pregnant and mommy friends blogs and they were/are all feeling movement at 20 weeks! Every once in a while I feel a little flutter, or one time I thought I felt her roll over. But she hasn't KICKED me yet. I found out my placenta is in the front, so hopefully her little bones will get stronger this week so i can feel her!

Sleep? Yikes, getting worse. Last night I tossed and turned until 4 am. I can only imagine its going to get a lot worse. Sheesh.

Cravings? Coke!!! I haven't drank caffeine in 2 years... but last week started just feigning for a cocacola! I can only drink a kids size or a little small one or else my heart starts racing like no other! Also, I'm still hungry all the time... but even when I'm starving I still can't finish my whole dinner. I guess because my stomach is starting to get squished.

Symptoms? nothing too bad this week

What I miss? sleep

Milestones? HALFWAY TO BABY!!! When we first found out we were expecting, 20 weeks seemed SO FAR AWAY! and now it's here. Hope the 2nd half flies by even faster, I can't wait to meet my sweet baby girl.

Weight Gain? still holding out at 5 lbs. - whoop whoop!

What I’m nervous about? not feeling too nervous right now :)

What I’m excited about? Seeing what she looks like!

Baby Center Update for Week 20:
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
