Pregnancy Highlights

How Far along? 8 weeks 2 days

Size of the Baby? a raspberry at the beginning of the week, now a green olive!

Maternity Clothes? nope but pants are definitely uncomfortable

Gender? who the heck knows? we can do intelligender in less than 2 weeks :) but wont get to really find out until around the end of September

Movement? Definitely not.

Sleep? i would stay in bed all the time if i could bc it would mean no symptoms.

Cravings? Not really. Still more aversions than cravings.

Symptoms? Everything in the book. This week has been rough. Starting with nausea, then mix it up with some fever, headaches, sore throat, (luckily the fever and sore throat subsided) add in some AGONIZING constipation, more vomiting, incredibly sore boobs, and the occasional dizzy spell ... pretty sure that all equals FIRST TRIMESTER! get me out of here!!!

What I miss? actually WANTING to leave the house. going out to eat, driving, shopping, normal activities.

Milestones? The baby has already had it's first graduation!! yay baby!! :) It's now graduated from an embryo to a fetus :) Also, 8 weeks is typically a good, safe, milestone. A lot of people announce pregnancy this week, and if I keep being this sick, I might do the same.

Baby Center Update for week 8: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.
